It's all kinda reminded me of the whole home automation thing....lots of initial hype, but then not really useful for that many critical things, and no one wanted to use them to purchase things, so companies had a hard time making ROI on all the investment.
Also, there's so much reference to "workflows"...and in my personal life, I...I don't really have a lot of repeatable workflows to justify a paid subscription for any of them. I use the free versions just fine and dandy, for some fun little experiments here and there...but mostly for shits and giggles, when I'm bored.
As for at work - I'm an experience designer / former product owner, so not a dev, but I use the AI a little in my work-life, though this is pretty damn limited as I'm in a highly regulated industry...
So, this got me thinking:
If I don't have repeatable workflows that can be automated / made more efficient by AI in my personal life, and my industry is highly regulated and there is limited AI use there (and it's a big industry - finance / insurance)...how much of the market is really going to be willing to pay high fees to use the tech?
