Nonetheless, that is a poor algo causing issues.
1. Hard to identify gender does not mean hard to identify face. Also, this is your biased interpretation.
2. IDK if you know this, but training loss and data augmentation while training a deep learning model can compensate for dataset imbalence.
3. A Model which does badly in practical usage is bad.
The coders and the dataset creators have been lazy. Bad work should not be applied in industry. Its that simple. IDK what your problem is.
