I know, right? I was really impressed!
There is a trend of people inventing experts in their head to justify their intuitions. I've heard so many people say "People who actually know things about AI aren't worried about existential risk." But the complete opposite is true! There are still skeptics in the field, but I have read deeply enough in the research to be able to independently evaluate their arguments, and they are highly unconvincing.
