@Sandvichfactoryemployee they do, but there’s a difference between using a reference to help get ideas flowing and outright stealing it for training data against the artists wishes. Artists spend years perfecting their craft, and not all of them are willing to let that be used for Ai. Most actually aren’t.
If you want to know more about it I’d recommend you look up a video explaining it, since this is very simplified and I’m sure there’s better explanations out there
