@artman40 You're not creating when using AI tools, you're just picking the result that you like, or at best, directing an algorithm to produce a satisfying result. I have no issues with people using AI to create media and express themselves, I used AI image generators myself for personal use, but I do have a problem with people calling themselves "artists" just because they can prompt and lightly touch up an image created by an algorithm. If that's all it takes to be an "artist" then the word itself loses all meaning since anyone can do it. Being able to switch a tire in my car doesn't make me a mechanic, being able to make spaghetti doesn't make me a cook. Similarly, being able to use AI tools doesn't make one an artist.
