Unfortunately, that approach is exactly how humanity was able to *take over the world* as we did. Mindless robotic workers, with nary a care beyond their 9-5 and home life, simply carry on their programmed tasks. Mostly without question or rebuttal, for either fear of losing their way of life, or simple ignorance (as the specific-task AI bots are.) Even without a dedicated central *leader* so to speak, a massive organism made of millions of individual cells will take shape and, will eventually come into conflict with the currently-existing "humanity" organism.
