@RightAmount disagree about your definition of an artist. To me, creating art is about making decisions (what to include, exclude, how to frame, aesthetic choices, how to create a system that will allow one decision to have many results, etc). 'AI artists' don't make any decisions. They are not in control of what they create. Artists that work with randomness still make decisions about how much to include and how to frame what they have.
In a sense, there is someone making a decision in generative art- the corporations who own the algorithms the 'artists' use. To me, the idea that the way to be an artist is to rent the decision making process from a wealthy company is horrifying
