And paired with technology, now it is gaining omnipotence (which is to say, the concept of 'voting with your wallet' is getting blurrier and harder by the day). saying it's NotTrueCapitalism™ will not change these facts. Also, it's most certainly not communism as another commenter wrongly characterized. in communism you must have workers owning the means of production. in capitalism and now cyber and surveillance capitalism, the large companies not only don't have their workers owning the means of production, the companies actually band together to actively work against legislation that gives the workers more rights and better pay, and against legislation that ensures they pay their taxes and force them to make their tax chain more transparent (i.e, offshore branches and accounts).
