@veganath Wow, yep, that'll do it. The priorities line up exactly with how I think we need to change to handle AI, and how we should have changed once we could meet everyone's basic needs. I don't think it's the only way to do it, but I see all the right steps being taken with a prototype city and some larger plans.
I hope the details work out and it isn't mismanaged like the "sustainable" megaprojects in the middle east that sour everyone on the topic. Ideas like this needed to be investigated decades ago when we became able to provide for everyone (and it looks like this project had started then). It's going to have to convince society fast now that there's an urgent need to switch.
