@thomasjdm7388As a side note, another point of curiosity I have is dealing with the un-sexy topic of insurance. How do actuaries at insurance companies determine the rate autonomous vehicles are to be insured (especially against conventionally-driven trucks)? I’m not a trucker and have no experience in the field, so I willingly plead ignorance here….but from an insurance perspective, insuring an autonomous vehicle (be it a car or truck) is a prickly proposition - because you invite a much different set of parameters and elements of vehicle design which actuaries would need to weigh when deciding on how much to charge for such vehicles. I’d love to hear from an insurance actuary who is involved in price-setting of these vehicles and hear just how they go about determining such fees.
