It's a bit misleading to call it implicit bias, but the current generation of A.I. is usually trained on a tremendous amount of data.
If there are trends in that data that we consider a reflection of the biases of the people who put that data together, the A.I. will still learn these trends and use them to make predictions.
It's a bit problematic because another subjective human has to identify a trend as "bias" which introduces a new source of bias in the form of who gets to decide what is bias and what reflects reality. Although an easy bias that is less subjective is when there simply isn't enough training data from certain categories of individuals.
