Since the broad adoption of the simple computer into our societies, which was proclaimed would universally improve quality of life, we have seen an increase in child mortality, homelessness, governmental and police brutality, pollution and corruption.
I very much doubt these new AIs or, help us, AGI will make much of a difference to the people living in tents not a mile away from where I’m sitting, other than the for police recording their biometrics to more efficiently prosecute and deny them services or the ability to get even the most basic employment.
I’d like to be proven wrong, but we’re all blindly stumbling about in a dystopia already.
