Yes, the FSD system, which is replaces the old Tesla autopilot, has that advanced driver monitoring. It detects if driver distracted or asleep and safely stops.
This tech is life saver, and it's unfair to bring up those examples of it failing, without mentioning statistics and examples of how many crashes were prevented by autopilot
