@lukeursic I finally gave in and decided to respond to you incompetent fucks. ChatGPT is what's called a "large language model", which, to oversimplify, is something that finds patterns and performs a bunch of math to find the next best word in a sentence. To actually form those patterns, you need input data, and a lot of it. ChatGPT sourced theirs from a whole chunk of the internet across 2020 and 2021, if I remember correctly. This includes misinformation, blatantly wrong statements, and other incorrect things that came with an input of that size. Because these made it into their training data and ChatGPT doesn't "think" - it predicts - you can't really 100% trust what it says if you aren't already familiar with what it's talking about. LLM "hallucinations" are a thing too where it will confidently tell you something that is completely wrong, and not back down unless told otherwise. It's not some gateway to hell, it's just a more capable version of the autocomplete on your phones, but the fucking oldheads of social media don't get that and still fall for it.
