I saw a thing about how the laws of robotics are idiotic at best and seriously dangerous at worst. The human race can take any simple sentence and imply 1000 things about what it actually means. For instance, define "harm." Does pulling an arrow out of someone's leg denote harm? What about losing them money? What if the robot decides a person is too stupid to care for themselves and it would be safer to their life if they were paralyzed? Morality is fluid, complex, nuanced. And nobody can even agree on what it is. So the odds of us being able to program reliable failsafes seem pretty low
