I would actually love to step in and give my witnessing of things so far.
As a ADHD grade hater slacker who cared more about professional development in college than my GPA, I didn’t use AI because it wasn’t fun to use AI and then turn in my assignments—I’d rather just not turn them in at all and do them whenever I wanted to for fun.
The thing that is concerning is that slackers like me who loved participating in class and competing on exams with colleagues but failing every homework due to laziness are rare. Most students care about short term survival, and that is amplifying the use of AI.
