Isn't that ALWAYS going to be the crux of the problem? Is humanity anywhere near ready for the power of AGI/ASI to be unleashed?
Then there is that whole problem of the ultimate goal being pursued of ASI being intelligent than every human on Earth combined. Enter the bizarre philosophies of everyone that deems higher and higher tech a God unto itself, and if humans have to be wiped out for the tech Gods to flourish across the universe, well then so be it.
