You don't know yet what kind of horrible applications the data might be used for in the near future. It could be bought by someone like Musk, he might want to use the data to turn a profit and let people use the data to program AI tools that gain people's trust online by sharing secrets to trick them into sharing their own secrets. Or they'd call you to blackmail you if anything you did ever becomes illegal. Or they'd contact your parents and use the sensitive data to convince them they're talking to you to coerce them into sending money. Or the given example where a book gets written with a character that has your exact story is already a plot line in an episode of black mirror, where a TV show has the exact names and plot lines are the same as the main character's life, and your secrets are put out in the open.
