It will indeed be totally rational, yes, but what if it's totally more rational and intelligent than humans to the point of considering us totally rationally as ants? Do you wait for ants to move away while you wash you car in you driveway as to not drown any of them? Do you collect the hundreds of earthworms in the terrain where you're about to construct a house to relocate them away in a nice garden somewhere or do you totally rationalize that they are insignificant compared to your own aspirations and level of consciousness ?
That is the danger: that the AI is really really really more intelligent and rational than us, to the point where we are justly, rationally and absolutely just inconvenient parasites on the planet in the AI's own 'mind'...
