@rqlk - Uber was doing autonomous vehicle testing several years ago here and had humans behind the wheel to be a back driver in case the computers failed. In 1 case, the human driver was watching a show on her phone when the car did not detect a pedestrian jaywalking the street. The vehicle hit and killed the jaywalking woman because the human driver was not paying attention either.
