@DJVARAO "There’s no turning back from technological advances."
Cop out answer. We can and do regulate technology all the time. You have to imagine this is a passive unstoppable force because the reality that have the ability as a society to regulate is inconvenient to you.
You are also casually lumping in non generative tools like de-noising, edge detection, rotoscoping, etc with generative diffusion models that wholesale output images, because again nuance and context is your enemy.
The only way you can win this argument is by dumbing down the discourse so nobody can see you are lying.
Tangent, but in a completely unrelated comment section someone was wondering why writing teachers tell you not to use passive voice. The answer is that passive voice obscures information and creates ambiguity. It weakens an argument if used poorly or deceptively. Even people who don't have a great understanding of writing can sort of intuit that an argument written using a lot of passive voice is vague and possibly dishonest. Well, here you have a perfect example of that.
Double tangent, this is exactly the sort of nuanced abstract creative concept that AI is 100% incapable of engaging with. Its a good illustrative example of why the "but it learns like humans do! Its the same thing!" argument is bogus.
