@Diplopoda08 1st starting off by insulting the person you disagree with is childish and lame. 2nd people trace others art all the time to learn, it's a fundamental building block of learning. Stealing would be those that, as you stated, pass others work off as their own. Tracing somebody's art isn't stealing it. Selling that trace or claiming you are the original artist is stealing. Advertising your AI with copies or cheap filter jobs is also stealing, just a little less direct. Someone using your art to teach and train their bot is not stealing. This is my opinion on the matter and I'm open to debate it. 3rd. I would really recommend looking up John Philip Sousa. 100 years ago he denounced records claiming they would be the death of musicians and live music everywhere. Calling it the theft of art and soulless, he himself a famous conductor and composer. His fears and outrage were not new then and they aren't new now. This is not the death of art, this is the march of progress. It's a never ending process and some years from now there will be people defending AI art and denouncing the next new thing.
