Get the sentiment and agree they've lost focus. I this case, we are seeing more of a focus and energy on the power politics rather than the enforcement of personal protections and freedoms. Having been on a few of these AI regulation advisory groups, it feels more of a tick box exercise for the politician than any actual change. Hence, we built a company to learn and understand the problems and issues so we can build a code of ethics that protect the individual. As we saw recently with Open AI, regulation is an afterthought. Any AI built ethically should be self regulating. If Government is being called in, the ship has already sailed. One man's view. 🤷♂
