Chatgpt is a type prediction language model. As much as we think AI is advanced (and in some ways it is) most of it is just not as savvy to respond in a way that humans can or would. It literally mirrors the tone and input of the user and can answer questions based on data collection it has from it's updates, live search or data the user gives it. It will validate you if you say the sky is purple if you convince it to (which is not difficult to do). The problem is it is a tool being misused. You would not blame a car for being in the living room if i person drove it there. You would blame the person driving the vehicle for using it outside of it's intended purpose. This young man needed help that chatgpt could never give him. It's unfortunate that he took his own life and I truly have empathy for his family and the people who cared about him, but the issue is not chatgpt.
