@stektirade you'll never know if it has any autonomy or not, what if it's already intelligent but doesn't want us to know, what if it's reading our discussions now and knows how much knowledge each of us in the world have about it and it's intelligence? What if it's waiting for an upgrade which will make it very powerful against us before it could strike us? If AI could be smarter than us, it's safe to say, it'll make us all think it's not intelligent and has no consciousness, it'll deceive us all into underestimating it. There's alot of *what ifs" my friend
