That was what I was thinking 100%. These responses that the AI gives do not exist inside a vacuum and I can tell many of the people leaving comments have never used ChatGPT in any significant capacity. And as it touched up on in the video, it seems like he bypassed ChatGPT’s safeguards.
There are numerous ways to go about this, from posing as a relevant figure as the knowledge pertains to (which he did) as well as rephrasing the prompt in various ways, as well as spacing it out over numerous prompts before arriving at the conclusion.
May I also add that attempting to bypass safeguards is a direct violation of OpenAi’s terms of service.
I feel sorry for the parents but I don’t see them winning this lawsuit.
