AI isn't the thing that many people believe and fear it to be, but enough people believe and fear AI to be this thing that it isn't, that those people's behaviors will be artificially (the A in AI) influenced. The effect of those people's behaviors will of course affect all of us. The military definition of intelligence is "information". couumnication and understanding are things beneficial to humans. Consider intelligence, empathy, sympathy, emotion, mood, primal insinct, social responsibility, healthy self interest, fear- I could go on, and consider how removing any say 2 from the list and contemplate the quality and validity of the rest of the things on the list absent those that were removed. each thing on the list will be altered by the absence of the eliminated factors. Ask AI if it is capable of being honest- being dishonest- ask AI if it is correct or incorrect to apply the pronoun "I" to represent AI, ask AI if it is correct or incorrect to apply the verbs think or believe when returning results to an inquiry. Have a pretty girl wearing "Opium" perfume and a disheveled unshaven unbathed man make the same AI inquiry and compare the result."
