@antiqueHistory6840 Being flexible won't solve anything. I worked that way for 2 decades, once it was clear my college skills were being automated away and couldn't get me a job anymore, how do you think I survived THIS long.
And the thing is, being flexible requires money. Either you need money to move your own life to another state, or you need money to go back to school. Without money you cannot do either of those. And I certainly don't think implying all our 40 year olds who'll lose their jobs to AI, should be expected to go back to school, is a workable solution. That didn't work for the all the coal miners they told to "learn to code", what makes you think it'll work this time?
