Not if we are talking about basic skills. AI and Virtual Reality are already tested in competitive swimming. Your stroke can be analyzed in real time and information displayed on your smart googles. Technically it would be a perfect coaching system for those who want to improve skills. Some universities work on that. A good swimming instructor and coach cannot be replaced. Fortunately there are not many of them. Being a swimming coach and watching the others. I can say that the majority of instructors do more harm than good. At least here in England.
