I have 10 years of App admin/DevOps experience under my belt. Can write scripts in all kind of languages. I can read and write in Java. I know networks, databases, web servers etc. All kind of environments and infrastructure. I have QA experience. I love AI for the possibility of writing real world applications for myself in any stack without needing to learn how to write in those languages myself. Development of desktop application with Cursor and Claude 3.7 Thinking model goes pretty well for me so far. I learned if you constantly stop it when you see it does something wrong with your code. Setup proper rules, give it all documentation it needs. Make commits so often that if it is messed up with your code very badly you can go back to last working commit. It is doing pretty well job. I also give it to write fairly small feature at the time and cover it with all possible tests. Enjoying so far
