Ai is just a tool. Artists have repeatedly shown to get much better results using it because making art isn't about your medium. It's about your expression. For some this goes best feeling their pencil on the paper or smelling the ink while writing a poem.
Others thrive in the control of crtl z or the perfect environment for 3d mod shading.
And as time will tell some will express themselves passionately using generation with iterations. Being able to tweak from a final piece to what they want instead of starting from a blank page.
