I don't believe facial recognition technology is effective anyway. In this instance, if the police had just looked at both pictures with a scrutinizing eye they would have been able to see these guys are not the same. However, there are people in this world that do look like an identical twin to other people who aren't even related to them. There was even a television show about how common having an unrelated twin is. The question wether or not using facial recognition in law enforcement should go before the supreme court of the US because just like lie detector tests they're not 100% accurate. And, in our country before someone is convicted of a crime it has to be without a shadow of a doubt that they're guilty.
