@craven5328 Wow. That is a very powerful quote and it truly underscores all of the problems with AI. I read the paper and could not help but laugh over their 'hopeful' scenario, which included the 'laid off masses' receiving UBI. Given that Congress just passed a bill that OMB predicts will decimate Medicare and SNAP and leave millions of already poor Americans without healthcare and starving to death, I am convinced that UBI has as much chance of happening as snowballs in hell.
