@netzarim1277 401k doesn't depend on people working. It's strictly funded by the worker and their employer. Once the employee leaves the company, the entire 401k belongs to them. If for some reason AI destroys the stock market, as @mickayling mentions, then that could impact the 401k. If the 401k is invested in the right things, however, it could be protected or it could skyrocket. A 401k doesn't have to be in stocks at all. It could be in any available asset.
