Dunno, China's cross-referenced databases, facial recognition, AI, and even personality-detection algorithms, censorship and 'ratings' etc. still seem wa-ay ahead of us. And yeah, the West might be headed there (covertly or otherwise). But they've still got a long way to go, so we still have opportunities to push back and impose 'limits' (if we can just get offa our lazy azzes).
