I get why some folks push back on the idea that AI ‘democratizes’ art. Saying everyone can make art just because they can hold a pencil is like saying anyone with a basketball can play like Jordan. Spoiler alert, they can’t. Talent doesn’t just pop up overnight, or ever, for most. But AI? It hands that creative power to anyone. Not perfectly (yet), but with stuff like ChatGPT-4o and Google Veo 3 blowing up, it’s speeding toward scary good. Those old school AI tells? Practically gone in the new wave of AI art generation.
