@AdamWestish I hear you and I agree with your intent, but this type of program could never work. For one simple reason. Algorithms.
Algorithms are nowhere near as effective as we've been led to believe. They are a fundamentally flawed way of doing anything. While they may allow a computer to accomplish a specific task, under a very specific set of conditions, they are completely incapable of compensating for anything unexpected or not previously thought of by the fools who programmed it. One of the many reasons I will never trust my life to a 'self driving' car. There are a number of really good videos on this topic.
