Simulation only has to be real from the perspective of you. You can be running in your own simulation and the environment to which your privy to is updated as you move through it. Think hollow deck on Star Trek. Every single person that feels as though they are real, could in fact be just another VPS in a hollerdeck. Perhaps they interact with each other in the main gaming theater, or this is just a simulation for a handful of sentient AI programs, for purposes unknown. And you are one of them
