I think Senator Sanders was mainly talking about AI overall, not just genAI. AI as a whole, in the same vein as robotics, is likely to take over a lot of white collar jobs, in the same way that genAI specifically, *IF* it can actually become workable (spoiler: right now it isn't, ask any lawyer how good an AI generated legal brief is as of today), is liable to replace more blue collar jobs. So basically everyone's at risk except those who don't need a job to generate income, which is exactly the mutli-billionaires who can rest on their (often inherited) laurels and let the capitalist system generate wealth passively on the back of the rest of society.
