@PunmasterSTPYou might benefit, or be demoralized by reading Paul Volcker's instructions about how industry can buy the government (he wouldn't have phrased it that way). Democracy was a way for industry leaders to keep regency in check. No one built in any brakes for when industry claims regency over democracy, while the wealthy had no inclination to install them, outside FDR. This is why Republicans hate him so much and still whine about taxes that used to be 90%. Check out ALEC, too.
Sorry to say, the checks you think you are leaning on don't exist. Not even congress or the judiciary are behaving like bulwarks. America is sporting a SOLD sign, and won't see remuneration. It's all one corrupt system being toyed with by about 300 men, and AI.
