It’s not about being smart enough. It’s about exploiting a vulnerability. In this age of technology it is easier than ever to be by yourself, because of that people don’t teach their kids to be social or develop social skills themselves, or how to overcome social anxieties.
This AI presents itself as a solution, but it’s like fast food. Sure it will taste good in the moment and it will satiate your hunger for a bit. But ultimately it will not nourish you, you’ll be hungry again in an hour or so and cost to your body often outweighs the reward. The same with this. People will exploit our appetite for food they will exploit our appetite for relationships.
Careful with the smart comment too. The easiest people to trick are those that think they are smart enough to never be tricked.
