Customer service is just one more thing corporations have eliminated. I recently tried to make a purchase using Paypal. Paypal indicated that the transaction had been completed. However, I received no confirmation from the vendor, my Paypal account showed no record of the transaction, and my credit card listed the purchase as pending. I contacted the vendor by phone and text and received no response. I contacted my bank by phone and text and received no assistance. I contacted Paypal and received no help from their AI customer service, but I was told I would be contacted by an agent. One day later, Paypal sent me a message saying they were still trying to connect me with an agent, and that was the last I heard from them on Oct. 22. Now that they've killed brick and mortar, customer service is something they no longer worry about.
