But also pretending to draw parallels between the brain’s reasoning towards making art and that of a LLM matching millions of fed patterns is to completely miss the point. Us humans don’t operate just on a merely logical basis. Intuition, emotion and past personal experiences all take a part in our decision taking, artistic or otherwise. Even decisions we would pretend being completely logical aren’t spared from this scenario (politics or buying a house/car, anyone?). AI can produce visually stunning results, but will never be able to explain the “why” behind its performance, decisions and results. Unlike any other human.
