@rookd2067 its fine if you know enough about the topic to fact check if its right. For example, I use chatGPT im approaching an unfamiliar problem. A recent example is when I was working on text2video models and had to take all of the raw videos and gifs in our dataset and make them all the same framerate while keeping the video around the same speed. I could have went to a couple stack overflow posts and read some documentation and written the code myself, I had chatGPT give me some code. First bit of code didn't actually work (the video was just sped up or slowed down to match frame rate), and the second one did. I can do this though because I know enough about programming and videos/gifs to fact check the chatGPT output.
The lawyers literally had to spend a few seconds to fact check if the chatGPT output was correct, but didn't. Thats whats really stupid. I'm sure plenty of lawyers are using chatGPT, its just that they know how to spot BS.
