@ВладимирСафонов-Маяковский "Disgusting and manipulative"? Are we getting on the self-righteous moral high horse already? Never mind that any argument that uses emotional language (including the very comment I'm responding to) could be considered "manipulative" by virtue of trying to evoke a specific emotion in a listener.
Look, you probably never drew in your life, so you can't imagine how it feels for those people to have their work used for something without their consent. But I imagine you still did something you were proud of and you would not be a fan of people taking it for free or using it in ways you don't want them to. I'm not opposed to AI art itself but I'm sympathetic to artists who never signed up to have their work used for it. It's really not hard to understand or sympathize with them.
