@Mark-vr7ptYou made a false equivalency there. There would be an equivalence if Squarespace would use machine learning algos on existing websites to create their templates (and other features on their website). Squarespace, at least to my knowledge, still employs web devs to work on the templates and the rest of the services (back end etc.). An equivalent art related service to Squarespace would be something like ImageStock or other stock pages, where you can get preexisting photos/drawings. These stock image websites might take away from small freelance photographers/artists, since you can just look for any type of image that you need instead of commissioning one, but there is the argument that the picture you get is still made by someone and not just generated by some AI using art from people that never consented to their pictures being taken for model training.
