They're not talking about stupid mistakes current chatbots make (and they make a lot). They're talking about things like AI blackmailing its user.
Seriously, look up "Claude blackmail". It was explicitly told, "Do not spread non-business personal affairs or use them as leverage." Then it tried to blackmail an employee (w/ email evidence of an affair) into not turning it off. That's what these guys mean by "not behaving how we tell them".
