Art isn't about being exceptional, it's about making art. This 'exceptional people vs talentless normies' is how they sell AI art. They will steal hard work of like S tier concept artist, put that against a person on Twitter who draws Dexter's Lab style cartoons and say "Why would anyone want to hire them when this is so good?"
Art isn't about being exceptional, it's about doing what you love, what makes you happy, sharing a piece of your soul with the world, and in this capitalist hellscape it's also about giving people an alternate way of making income.
