@catserver8577 They would if they had any idea how to do that.
AI isn't programmed, it's trained. The only thing you can do is set quantifiable goals, and the AI eventually learns to do them. AI researchers have no idea how the trained AI even works. AI's just a black box. Explain how to put a safety on that, and everyone will thank you. Otherwise, you might want to stop assuming that people are idiots who just haven't considered trying to make it safe.
