@billyj.causeyvideoguy7361 Public defenders are solely for if you are a defendant in a criminal case. Everything I talked about in my post would be civil cases. And public defendants are generally regarded as worse than paid lawyers, so even in criminal justice it's pay to win.
And don't get me wrong, AI as it currently is is no where near representing someone in court (and of course wouldn't be allowed to), and I'm not overly optimistic it will be any time soon, maybe ever. Still, the reason it's hyped is because it's the only glimmer of hope to be had.
